A Dutch cosplayer has shown off their picture-perfect recreation of Overwatch hero Ashe, complete with her fully posable robot sidekick, Bob.

An Overwatch fan revealed a lifelike cosplay of Deadlock Gang leader Ashe, complete with a fully built replica of her robot sidekick Bob.

User @hello_angel.a shared the look on Instagram, which shows them fully geared in Ashe's gunslinger outfit. They also wear a perfect asymmetrical white bob wig and are armed with Ashe's weapon of choice: her semi-automatic rifle known as The Viper. Gunner bot Bob is also featured, created by prop maker @waynesworkshop, and is pulling a Wild West style cart, which @hello_angel.a comically refers to as "the payload." They also created a perfect replica of Ashe's stick of dynamite with a glowing fuse and smoke emitter and magnetized it to allow Bob to pose easily with it.

The Dutch artist has also posted several other cosplays in recent months, including Sylvanas from World of Warcraft and Spirit Blossom Ahri from League of Legends. Bob creator @waynesworkshop is known for their fully working replica of Iron Man's suit that has been featured in various magazines and comes with a moving mask, working arm blasters and rocket boosters.

Ashe, a rebellious cowgirl character from the Overwatch universe, is a popular choice for cosplayers. She was introduced as the game's 29th hero in November 2018 and quickly became a fan favorite due to her humorous back-and-forths with other characters, particularly with old rival Cole Cassidy. She is also the leader of the Deadlock Gang, a band of ragtag crooks who fight, heist and loot their way across the game's universe. She and Cassidy's origin story is extensively covered in the prequel novel Deadlock Rebels.

The hero will next feature in Overwatch 2, the sequel to the fast-paced PvP shooter Overwatch which was first released in 2016. The game will go free-to-play and will make the fully priced Overwatch unplayable upon its release, replacing it entirely. As well as adding new heroes like Aussie tank Junker Queen, Overwatch 2 will update the appearance and abilities of its broad roster of playable characters. However, despite various closed and open beta tests in the last few months, Overwatch 2 has struggled to maintain a dedicated audience and lost 99% of its Twitch viewership just one week after its most recent test.

Regardless, development continues and its final release looms. Overwatch 2 is scheduled for release on October 4, 2022, and will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
